This mid 19th century barn was carefully renovated and transformed into a modern living space, utilizing both traditional and modern building techniques. The interior space was reconstructed using an 18th century chestnut timber frame with traditional mortise & tenon joinery. Behind the walls, modern building techniques were incorporated to create a high performance building that minimizes energy consumption. This fusion of old and new has resulted in a stunning and sustainable living space.
